Granted, this one should be a no-brainer for any web-enabled funeral professional, but I’m amazed at the number of people who’ve never seen it, so here we go.

FuneralNet.com is a site that gathers items of interest to consumers (obituaries, lists of funeral homes and cemeteries, florist links, etc.) and industry-specific areas for the funeral professional.

My favorite part of FuneralNet.com is the online classified section.  This area hosts sections titled:

For Sale
Cemetery Properties
Job Wanted
Internship/Job Openings

Even better, the classifieds are free listings, so you can post items you’d like to sell or jobs you have open.

I regularly tell the funeral industry about our quilted cot covers on FuneralNet.com.  I’ve even helped a few funeral home owners sell old vehicles and equipment.

Of course, FuneralNet.com is like a lot of other “online communities”; if you don’t participate, the community disappears and it turns into a boring webpage that no one cares about.

So visit FuneralNet.com.  And, for Pete’s sake, do something while you’re there!
