We promised that our first spotlight would be our own company, so here we are!

Final Embrace is a multi-line company, which means we make a couple of products and offer a few other services.

In the forefront of our business is our quilted mortuary cot covers, available at our website,  Our covers are made from quilts and beautiful tapestry fabrics and let a funeral director present a more appealing image than a fake fur or corduroy covered gurney during a removal.

caruso0206.jpgWe also make Treasured Memory Bears out of clothing that our clients send to us.  These custom bears are marketed to the general public.

We also run this weblog, where funeral professionals gather to discuss marketing, management, cool products, interesting news stories and more.

I get the question, “What is a weblog?” quite often.  Simply, a blog is a website that is updated on a regular basis.  Recently added articles are at the top of the page, with each subsequent article farther down the page being older.

The Final Embrace blog also features categories on the right side of the page.  These categories will take you to articles that are related to the category words.

Final Embrace features over 550 articles, podcasts, interviews and news stories.  While our editor (Tim Totten) has written many of the articles, we also have seven guest writers who share their expertise and opinions with our readers.

And our readers respond, because blogs allow you to comment on the articles you read.
