Michael Manley, our friend at Funeral Business Advisor, is busy finishing up their convention issue, so we’re mixing up our schedule again.

This interview with Michel Larbrisseau of Trifac, Inc. is #6 in our series 45 Exhibitors in 45 Days, which highlights companies who will be appearing at the 2007 NFDA Convention.

FINAL EMBRACE:  Michel, I’ve seen your keepsake urns and reliquaries.  They are absolutely beautiful!

MICHEL:  Thank you.  All our 80+ designs are created by our four in-house designers, so I’ll share your kind words with our staff.

FE:  Are you offering a convention special this year?

MICHEL:  We’ll be offering a 10% discount for all orders placed at the convention.  And first-time customers are given a display base and halogen light so show off the initial collection.

FE:  So these are exclusive Trifac designs?

MICHEL:  Absolutely.  And we’re in the process of patenting our reliquaries for locks of hair.

FE:  That’s great.  Why, would you say, are your keepsakes’ best features?

MICHEL:  First, they’re beautiful.  Second, they’re made by artists who pay special attention to detail.  Third, we perform extremely rigorous quality exams on our designs.  And finally, we only produce each keepsake in limited quantities (less than 2500 pieces).

FE:   Why are you exhibiting in Vegas this year?

MICHEL:  We create a beautiful product that is best seen in person.  We’re doing a number of trade shows in Canada, Europe and the United States.  As the designers, we can better explain the features and advantages of this type of functional art to funeral professionals in person.

FE:  Where is your company located?

MICHEL:  We opened in 1990 in Montreal, Canada.  We started out making medals, trophies and metal sculptures.  We began making keepsake urns in 1996 and created our patent-pending reliquaries in 2004.  Later in 2004, we opened a distribution center in Mooers, New York to better serve our growing U.S. clientele.

FE:  It’s been nice chatting with you, Michel.  How can Final Embrace readers contact you?

MICHEL:  Readers can call us toll-free at 877-887-4322 or fax us toll-free at 877-887-4329.  It’s been great talking with you and I look forward to seeing you in Vegas!
